Synopsis This symposium will delve into the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for managing meningoencephalitis, an infectious neurological emergency with high morbidity and mortality in neurocritical care setting. Emphasis will be placed on rapid diagnosis, advanced molecular techniques, and implications on patient management strategies.

Dr. Harsh Sapra is the Senior Director of Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram. With over 25 years of clinical practice, he has extensive experience in neurocritical care and neuroanaesthesia. Dr. Sapra has trained and worked in leading hospitals in India and the UK, including NHS hospitals such as Dorset County Hospital and Mater Hospital in Belfast, as well as Max Healthcare, New Delhi. In his current role, Dr. Sapra established the Department of Neuro-critical Care & Neuroanesthesia at Medanta, creating a 38-bedded dedicated neuro-critical care unit, which is one of the largest in the country. He has headed this unit since 2009, ensuring delivery of care through good medical practice and patient-centric values. Dr. Sapra completed a Fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia and Neuro-Intensive Care at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast and holds an FRCP (Glasgow). His qualifications include an MBBS, Diploma in Anaesthesia, and FNCC (Neuro Critical). As the founder president of Neuro Critical Care Society of India, he has received many awards and has completed Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals at Cornell University, USA. Dr. Sapra has published numerous research papers in high-impact journals, contributing significantly to the field of neurocritical care.
